About

I work with people of all ages! With children, my approach is to teach, support and help them grow emotionally, socially and behaviourally through play activities. I encourage participation of guardians through consultation and counselling as I believe that their involvement are the consistent determiners of long-term success in a child’s life. I also provide counselling to teens and adults with diverse backgrounds and needs. I believe each person is the expert of their own experiences and therefore respect each situation and all beliefs about personal change.
I have over a decade of experience with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, FASD, prenatal trauma, etc) and also provide consultations and counselling to their support systems (parents, teachers, siblings, etc.). I am competent in the areas of anxiety, grief and loss, emotional regulation, perspective taking and executive functioning skills.
I am interested in the beliefs and values of others due to my own personal culture as a Chinese-Malaysian Canadian. I understand the courage it takes to reach out and seek help and I admire those who have. If you are interested or wonder whether therapy with me is suitable for you, feel free to contact me for a 15min consult or to schedule an appointment.
