I am a Social Worker with over 15 years experience and I am passionate about empowering clients to make meaningful changes in their lives. I support clients dealing with mental health issues, excessive behaviors (substance use, problem gambling excessive tech use), difficult life transitions and stressful current and past events. I help clients to explore unique strengths and build skills. I also support family members of youth and young adults, struggling with mental health and excessive behaviors. I offer an inclusive and accepting therapeutic space and bring to my work a non-judgmental, warm, and interactive style.
I use a strength-based, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive approach to help clients to cope more effectively with emotions, stress, difficult situations and life changes. To improve mental health symptoms and reduce excessive behaviours, better understand themselves and others, re-connect with a partner or family member and achieve healthier relationships.
I offer supervision to social workers and psychotherapists in various settings (health care, child, adolescent & adult mental health, addictions, community and private care ) who require support working with clients or building a private practice. I offer support in various frameworks including but not limited to EFT, CBT, DBT, SFBT, Narrative and MI.
