About
Using a strengths-based, person-centred approach, my team and I support autistic individuals and their loved ones to better understand and accept neurodiversity. Different not less. We help individuals cope with the mental health effects of living in a neurotypical world and co-create a roadmap that supports their wellbeing. Partners and family members are given tools to understand communication differences so relationships can flourish. Clinicians are experienced working with girls, women, non-binary, and LGBTQA+ individuals.
I am a strong ally of the autistic community and value lived experience and peer support. I have a Master of Social Work and practice from a strengths-based, person-centred approach incorporating various techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Counseling, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Triple P (Positive Parenting Program).
I understand the unique needs of men and women on the Autism Spectrum. I respect the strengths and abilities of neurodivergent people and enjoy their authenticity and openness. **Please note: I cannot provide ASD diagnoses. Find me on Twitter @dorizener
