You can usually handle things yourself so you might be cautious about going for counselling. That is ok with me. If you like straight talk, we can get directly into talking about the most practical ways of dealing with internal conflicts that are getting out of hand. Just like hiring a mechanic or plumber, it's ok to call a counsellor when the situation gets more complicated than usual. Counselling comes with privacy and non-judgement. As a registered counsellor with real-world experience, I'm ready to listen and help you turn in the best direction
If you are wary of counselling, I keep counselling practical and connected to the realities of daily life. I know you want counselling to make sense with some logic to it. Once we take stock of where you are now, I focus on building skills to 1) regulate thoughts and feelings and 2) improve communication and connection with others in your life.
I know it's hard to get started so before we try to solve anything, counselling with me will provide a safe place to talk about what your life is really like. It's important for me to listen well and pay attention to what matters to you. I'm glad to talk with you on the phone to tell you more and answer your questions about counselling.
