I also work in high conflict divorce, specifically with PN7s, where I work with families experiencing problems related to co-parenting.
I am a Registered Psychologist (AB) and completed my PhD at the University of Alberta, where my research specialized in motivation. Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked in community group homes with youth. Throughout my work and training, I was exposed to many types of clients and modalities, and now work in a few different areas of counselling and assessment. In assessments, I conduct psycho-educational and personality assessments. In counselling, I use a “firm but fair” style that incorporates cognitive, emotion-focused, mindfulness, and rogerian approaches.

When I meet with a client, whether a child, teenager, or adult, my intention is to be present with them where they are, first as a human being; then to help them feel safe and comfortable with me and to bring my years of experience and training, along with their knowledge of themselves and their desire to change, to resolve what brought them to therapy.

Divorce Counsellors
The dissolution of a marriage is almost always an upsetting event, at the very least marked by disappointment and the loss of dreams and expectations.

A divorce counsellor in Edmonton can help you by exploring the struggles you’re facing, identifying whether or not those problems can be resolved, creating a realistic picture of what life would look like after divorce, and how your children could be affected and protected. In the process of answering these questions, a divorce counsellor helps you work towards acceptance and forgiveness
