About

Most people come to therapy with a desire to feel better and to have a life that feels worth living. Whether you are considering therapy for a life transition, loss and grief, a desire to connect with yourself on a deeper level, relationship challenges, stress, or to engage in treatment of conditions such as, depression, anxiety, a personality disorder, suicidal ideation or trauma; my approach to care is client-centred, holistically oriented, trauma-informed and utilizes adaptive therapeutic approaches to respond to the uniqueness of my clients.
Psychotherapy offers an opportunity for individuals to intentionally engage in a process of healing in a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment.
Individual, couples and group therapy. Evening and weekend appointments available.

Dianne Wright's Groups

Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based type of cognitive behavioural therapy that focuses on reducing the PTSD symptoms that may have developed after experiencing a variety of traumatic events such as, near death or witnessed death experiences, child abuse, combat, sexual assault and natural disasters. CPT is generally 12 - 18 sessions and helps patients learn how to challenge unhelpful beliefs that arise from our understanding of the traumatic experience. CPT supports individuals in creating a new understanding of their trauma, resulting in a different relationship with whats happened, reducing the symptoms of PTSD and the negative impact this has on their lives.
