Have you experienced a recent loss, whether it be through a death of a loved one or a job change? Have you witnessed or directly suffered a traumatic event? Perhaps you are feeling overly anxious or sad, and can't concentrate or sleep? Or maybe your child or teenager has become withdrawn, is having difficulty maintaining his or her grades, and is more irritable or angry than typical? If these are among your concerns, it may be timely to seek assistance.
I've been fortunate to work with children, adolescents, and adults as a Clinical Psychologist since 1991. I offer assessments, including psychoeducational evaluations, which aim to understand your symptoms and make a diagnosis. Recommendations from my assessments help to inform therapy, and, in the case of psychoeducational evaluations, inform your child's learning plan.
I offer individual therapy to children, teens, and adults. I use an approach called Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, which explores how our negative thoughts influence how we feel and behave. Depending on you and your issues, I may integrate Mindfulness and Self-Compassion in therapy.
