When you find yourself going through a life transition, feeling stressed, depressed or grieving a loss, you might feel overwhelmed and alone. Often our thoughts and feelings get tangled with expectations leaving us unsure about how to take care of our mental health. Together we will explore what is working for you and what is not. When you get to know yourself better you can begin to see unwanted and self-defeating patterns as they emerge. By developing greater self-awareness and practicing self-acceptance, you will begin to discover new ways to grow and strengthen as a person.
I work with individuals and couples using multiple approaches including Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytic and Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) methods. I have worked for many decades as a suicide and crisis counsellor, a visual artist and professor, and a parent. I provide a safe and non-judgemental space to explore thoughts, feelings and to be truly heard.
When you are ready I offer a free 15-minute phone conversation to get to know each other a little. In session, we will work together to make a plan to enhance your life and well-being. All of our discussions are completely confidential. I look forward to collaborating with you. Evenings and weekends are also available. Currently a TICP Candidate YR 1.
