I specialize in supporting vulnerable youth and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, shame, self-acceptance, addiction, trauma, abuse, and intrusive thoughts. I believe that people are innately resilient and have access to everything they need to move towards healing and that my role is to help you access and leverage this innate wisdom and ability located within.
The symptoms people often bring to therapy are a result of having to adapt to the dangers in their world. For me healing involves three components: 1) Helping our nervous system to rediscover it's calm grounded state. 2) Helping our brain integrate disturbing memories. 3) Finding compassion for the self-sabotaging ways we adopted survive our experiences.
