Sometimes life and relationships we find ourselves in have a way of shifting our perspective that can create uncomfortable feelings, behaviours and thoughts. I am passionate about working with individuals in order to facilitate meaningful and lasting change. I have been a therapist for 30+ years and take pride in my ability to connect in a genuine way with a variety of clients and tailor my approach to best respect each person's potential, preferences, values, strengths and goals. I work from the belief that the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, respect, compassion, acceptance, validation and understanding.
Using a variety of techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotionally Focussed Therapy, I ultimately work from a Strengths Based approach. I will assist you in identifying and understanding the source of your stress or difficulty and believe inherent in you is the capacity to build upon your coping skills to find effective solutions.
I can appreciate that some of the issues you may bring to therapy may feel difficult to talk about. I have worked with clients on many different issues and am committed to providing a safe space for you to explore solutions to your concerns.
