As an art therapist with a trauma-informed lens, I incorporate counselling, somatic awareness, movement, and play into my work, to enhance resiliency and promote healing. Issues I have worked on include intimate partner violence, self-harm, sexual abuse, and refugee, immigration and acculturation issues, as well as intergenerational trauma.
I have experience working with adults, teens and children from diverse backgrounds, in clinical, school and community settings. I specialize in working with teens and kids, on issues such as family and peer relationships, low self-esteem, self-harm, LGBTQ+ issues and emotional dysregulation.
Knowing you are not alone or helpless and knowing that there may have been factors outside of your control will help process things and understand them, we can work together to redefine ourselves and find coping mechanisms to heal and reclaim a part of our life.
