About
Music and creativity can be the path to healing, but can sometimes also be the cause of suffering. Particularly during the pandemic, musicians can experience isolation and disconnection from themselves and others. My goal is to help you find a space to not only heal but also learn how to thrive again. My clients are professional and aspiring musicians, and people for whom music used to be a large part of their life. People who live unconventional lives, who feel deeply, and are highly sensitive. Having taken my own journey through music and healing, I now support others looking to reclaim music in their lives.
Musicians can experience mental health challenges in unique ways, including: performance anxiety, a harsh inner critic, creativity scars/wounds, a challenging relationship with your instrument, feeling like you've lost the joy of music-making, and feeling like an imposter. Gently including music in therapy can help bring greater ease to these areas.
I deeply respect the perspectives and inner knowings of each person. During therapy, I collaborate with clients to set the pace of the session, seek feedback, and ensure that any music-making is fully supported, structured, and serves their needs. To do this, I blend clinical counselling, music therapy, and anti-oppressive approaches.
