About
Deb is a Registered Social Worker who brings integrated approaches to the Counselling, Clinical Supervision and the Facilitation that she does. She employs a strengths-based, trauma informed approach in her work. She practices mindfulness in her own life and uses this practice as a tool for wellness in the work she does with clients. She has spent much of her career working with youth and young adults, as a teacher, coach, facilitator, counsellor and as a youth outreach worker. She has recently completed qualifications to provide Clinical Supervision to regulated Mental Health Providers.
Deb is trained in the following modalities to support her clients: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-t), Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and most recently, Clinical Supervision
Deb is passionate about working alongside of people in a way that allows them to build capacity and sense of resilience. She brings a broad range of experiences into this work, including community leadership work and program development initiatives for young people, adults and other professionals, community groups and corporations.
