While it is true that every life has its highs and lows, sometimes the lows are hard to manage and support may be needed to regain strength. I provide counselling for children and adults, both individually and within the context of the family. I work from a variety of theoretical perspectives including but not limited to CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems. My clients establish their own goals for therapy and I provide support in defining the objectives for meeting those goals. I believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives and I am there to facilitate the changes they desire.
I am skilled at completing assessments and treatment recommendations. I provide therapeutic support in the mode best suited for the family, i.e individual work with parent(s) or the children, parenting support and marital support. I have a good understanding of childhood disorders, anxiety and depression, parent child conflict, and adolescent issues.
