Counselling is a unique experience. It is intimate, vulnerable and requires courage. There are infinite reasons that someone may seek counselling or therapy. Let’s face it, being human can be hard! Counselling can be effective for folks struggling to balance life with routines, relationships and responsibilities. Some people experience severe symptoms that impact their physical, mental, social and spiritual health. A safe therapeutic relationship can offer you an opportunity to access your wisdom and allow your authentic emotional and spiritual self to emerge, heal and expand.
I have been working alongside adults, teens and families as a social worker for nearly 20 years. I am thrilled to be at this point in my career to work independently as a therapist. I love working with anyone who is ready to do some good work! I have a deep respect for all people's autonomy, choices and a deep reverence for your sovereignty as a human.
Throughout our work together, I may call upon evidenced based clinical approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapies, body centered and somatic work, internal family systems (informed), spiritual and compassionate inquiry. Please reach out if you would like to work together.
