I believe that having the courage to allow yourself to be vulnerable by sharing your story, and being open to learn new ways of coping, can lead to a more balanced self with lasting change. As your therapist, I can help guide you to make healthy choices, to engage in healthy relationships, and to identify your own strengths. I provide an environment of compassion and creativity which helps inform the exploration of personal issues.
I can support you in learning to identify and manage emotions, increasing your self-awareness, developing healthy coping strategies, and improving your self-worth. Anti-oppression and cultural safety are vital to the therapy process. I welcome clients from all neurotypes, genders, identities, relationship styles, and cultural backgrounds.
I often focus on developing self-compassion so that my clients can learn to treat themselves with love and kindness. I provide an integrative therapy approach where a variety of counselling methods are used to personalize treatment. I acknowledge and celebrate the strengths and fragility of the human spirit.
