About
At times life presents itself as quite a challenge, be it at work, home, school or with friends. In such situations you may feel anxious, sad, withdrawn, hopeless, isolated, or alone. If you would like to explore a better understanding of these and other issues then contact me. We can work together at identifying other coping strategies aim at enhancing your strengths, sense of self, and moving forward in a more positive way. I provide a safe, nurturing, empathic environment where we can work towards better resolutions to your challenges.
My areas of focus are Depression and Anxiety which include Grief and Loss, issues related to Work, School, Aging, Care-Giving, Marital and Family Conflict, Isolation, Self-Esteem and Substance Abuse. I am a Trauma Informed therapist. My practice modalities include Cognitive, & Dialectical Behavior, Multicultural, Feminist, and Solution Focus Brief Therapy.
It's okay to not feel okay. Mental health challenges are not things which you can "snap out of." Mental health challenges are just that - challenges. Together, you and I will work to better understand your difficulties, and identify other coping strategies. I am just a phone call or email away. I care. I work with Adults and Transitional Aged Youth.
