There are times we may get overwhelmed by our feelings or feel lost and hopeless. It can take a tremendous amount of courage to reach out and ask for help. My role as a social worker is to guide you through the therapeutic process. I offer individual therapy to youth and adults. I help clients seeking support in many areas including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, parenting, and more.
I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership between a client and their therapist, a journey that both partake in to work toward a common goal: to help bring a greater sense of well-being to the client. And although I hold a set of therapeutic tools, I believe people are the experts in their own life.
I listen, guide, and work from a place of warmth, kindness, and compassion. I work to create a nurturing and non-judgemental environment to help people connect with their feelings and give language to their experiences. I use an integrative approach in my practice, which draws on knowledge from a variety of different theories and models.
