My ideal client is someone who is ready to begin exploring themselves, their emotions, and their relationships. I am grateful to join folks on a journey of self discovery and growth. Our bodies are constantly trying to communicate via emotions and so many of us were not provided with the skills to interpret those messages. This sometimes leads to emotional distress and challenges with how to respond to our emotions effectively. Through tools like DBT and IFS I find individuals can better understand themselves and how to live more in line with their values.
I’m trained in DBT and IFS. I find these approaches work well together, helping us make sense of emotional pain in the present, while also exploring its roots. I believe each human is a kaleidoscope of memory, hopes, fears, and dreams - I’m here to support you in making meaning, finding balance, and moving through the world in a way that feels true to you.
In sessions you can expect me to be human! I bring my laughter, warmth, and heart to each session (there may be the occasional LOTR reference). Counselling is all about finding the right fit, so if you want to know more about me or my practice please reach out. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

Groups
DBT Skills Training - In Person
In our DBT skills training group participants learn and practice skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. The goal is to improve emotional and relational functioning through structured, evidence-based techniques. While DBT was initially used to treat those experiencing symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder, it is also effective at treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and addiction. This group welcomes members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and it's allies. Please reach out if you would like to learn more about our group and how to register.
