People usually come to work with me for one of two reasons. One, you've been wanting to try therapy for a long, long time and while you don't necessarily feel "ready", you're going to do it anyway. You have a sense that your upbringing or your past are impacting your present, and you'd like some support to work through this. Or two, you are not coping well. You know the tools and the strategies but you don't feel they are working as well as they could, or you don't feel you can access these strategies in the midst of the pain you are in.
I am a trained trauma therapist. This means that I study and train in modalities that show effectiveness in supporting folks who have experienced trauma or complex trauma. It also means I work in a highly relational way, and prioritize stabilization in our work together. I lean deeply into psychodynamic psychotherapy, alongside EMDR, parts, and Sensorimotor.
I care deeply about your goals for your therapy work. And sometimes it’s enough to know you just want to feel differently than you do now. Groups
Relational Consultation Group (Virtual)
Welcoming newer practitioners seeking a supportive consultation group as they build confidence in private practice. The group will meet the first Friday morning of each month for 90 minutes, for 12 months. After this point, group members will have the option to continue together as a Peer Consultation Group (without me!). If you re interested in this group and the schedule does not work, please let me know.
