About
Hi I’m Dani and I’m the Counsellor-Match Consultant on our team. I get to know a bit about you and then I find the counsellor that is the best fit for you, as opposed to having the onus on the client to rely on intake forms and unguided selection within a large pool of counsellors. Although I'm a Master’s Level Registered Counsellor with the BCACC, I do not pick up clients long-term, I match people with the counsellor that specifically meets their needs so they're able to get the right fit, right away. We do not get into the depth of your story, your secrets, or your vulnerabilities. I utilize trauma-informed personality psychology.
Research shows us that on average, it takes people 5 counsellors before finding the ideal therapist. I ensure clients get the right fit the first time, so people don’t have to re-tell their stories to multiple health care professionals or sit through sessions when they are unsure if therapy is working or not as this can often be exhausting.
I believe that when people find the right counselling fit, they know it right away. Thoughts like “this counsellor just gets me”, “where has this counsellor been this whole time?” and “I felt immediately heard and understood” are a few signs that you’ve found the right counsellor to support you in whatever life throws your way.
