What if there was another way to manage difficult emotions and impulses, to decrease self-criticism and spiralling anxiety, to feel better about yourself in your relationships and to cope through life's challenges and changes. It’s been a privilege supporting individuals and families toward meaningful change over the past 15 yrs. I'm known for my genuine and down-to-earth approach, professional integrity and my specialization in working with teens and younger adults. I also specialize in supporting parents across all parenting stages through parent coaching and counselling.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I use an integrative approach drawing from a range of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), attachment-based models such as Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), as well as somatic (body) centered approaches including Mindfulness.
I have worked in the community and in hospital settings such as at CAMH, and am skilled working across a wide range of complex mental health challenges. I am an experienced individual and group therapist, parent coach, clinical field instructor and mental health consultant. I look forward to meeting you.
