Hello, My name is Cynthia Manley. I am a Certified Play Therapist with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy and the owner of Shifting Tides Play Therapy. I help children who are struggling with issues including: anxiety, depression, or adjustment to divorce or blended families. I also work with children who have experienced trauma or who have special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder or other learning disabilities.
I am one of only a few counselling therapists in Nova Scotia who can offer play therapy to children. I have completed the certification process after completing my Master's degree and licensure. Play Therapy is a well-researched intervention for children and has good evidence that it helps children with many different areas of challenge.
