I specialize in the area of gender identity. My practice focuses on providing psychotherapy for trans, non-binary and gender questioning individuals. This includes working with adults, teens and children to help navigate a potential social and medical transition. My goals are to help you develop a greater self-understanding and to provide the mental health tools necessary to support you in piloting your own journey toward living as your authentic self. I also provide psychoeducation and support for family members (parents, siblings, partners) who may be struggling with a loved one's gender exploration and (potential) transition.
For the past 15 years I have tailored my clinical training and psychotherapy pursuits to working optimally in the area of gender identity and sharing this knowledge with others. I have provided talks focused on gender identity/dysphoria to various mental health professionals, physicians, educators, and graduate students. Peer consultation is also available.
My training is in Clinical Psychology from Western University (UWO) where I obtained a Master of Science degree followed by 4 years of doctoral studies in comprehensive assessment and evidence-based psychotherapy. I've led a private practice for 10 years and recently served on UWO's Trans Care Team. Self-referral via email welcomed.
