About
I am a Registered Psychologist who specializes in working with children and adolescents. In trying to best understand the child or adolescent, I like to understand who they are within the context of the environment in which they live and the strength of their closest relationships. My practice is informed using attachment and developmental theory, and my goal is to offer support and guidance to those trying to navigate through the dynamics of childhood and adolescence. Additionally, I offer parent consultation to provide parents insight into their child's development and encourage attachment focused parenting practices.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2004, and a Masters of Science in Psychology in 2008. I became a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta in 2011. I have received additional instruction in attachment and developmental theory; play therapy; cultural awareness training; trauma informed practice; and pre-marriage counselling.
The stages through which children and adolescents transition and some of the challenges that may emerge oftentimes feel like a lot for both individuals or families to navigate. There is hope. If you have a child or adolescent needing support, or if you are a parent looking for insight and direction, we are here to help.
