I am an Indigenous Clinical Social Worker, I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Indigenous Social Work from the First Nations University of Canada in 2010. I am the owner of www.corecounsellingandhealing.com. I also am an NIHB approved practitioner which allows me to offer free counselling services to First Nations and Inuit people. I pride myself in being very knowledgeable in the diverse Métis and First Nation’s cultures, traumas and traditional healing. I am always continuing my education in order to gain as much knowledge as I can to ensure I have a library of helping modalities to assist my clients in their unique journeys.
I offer counselling to adults, couples, teens, children and families. My focus is intergenerational trauma and inner child healing. Though intergenerational trauma can have deep, complex, and far-reaching effects, it’s possible to heal — not to mention minimize the chances of continuing the cycle.
My top priority is creating a strong rapport with my clients so they can move forward in their healing journey with the least amount of barriers. My counselling methods come from a holistic, strength-based, and trauma- informed approach, knowing that with some guidance every client has the answers within them.
