Growing up in a Caribbean family taught me to serve others. Embracing Islam strengthened my passion for helping others. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients, inspired by the kindness of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. When I experienced a loss of purpose and an inability to tap into my inner strength, I had the blessing of meeting a female mentor Dr Tamara Gray, who gently guided me by encouraging me to re-write my narrative of my sensitivity as my power rather than a weakness.

As a mental health therapist, I help people experiencing distress enhance their sense of personal wellbeing and overall happiness. Over the years I have worked with adults, youth and families experiencing struggles with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, stress, relationship conflict, divorce and unresolved family issues.

Years ago whilst dealing with some health issues that affected me both mentally and physically a mentor/counsellor told me to “change my thoughts, in order to change my world. Because my present circumstances at the time did not determine were I go, but where I started." Hence, I do understand how mental and physical struggles can impact one's life and that admitting to those struggles and asking for help is never easy. I am here to walk alongside you on the journey to healing and restoration.

Parenting is a profound privilege that comes with the responsibility to raise, nurture, and support little humans into reaching their highest potential. In the midst of the responsibility though, we tend to lose sight of our own well-being. We neglect to yield ourselves grace, celebrate our own milestones; simply put we forget to remember that we are human.

Please note that I am not accepting clients at this time, however our remaining team of wonderful therapists are ready to journey alongside you! As the primary practitioner, I help high achieving Black women and femmes dissatisfied with their lives, move past self-sacrificing, generational survival habits to discover what a life of peace means for them. Through this therapeutic relationship, we focus primarily on self-discovery, life transitions and building healthier relationships.

Asking for help can be overwhelming because you are not sure of where to start. Furthermore, it is hard to find the ideal listener, cause you are troubled by the fear of rejection. Don't give up!
