DBT Training Group for Emotional Regulation

Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) is a treatment method that emphasizes building skills to manage stress, emotional response and regulation, mental health issues, and the psychological and social aspects of relationship building. This 12-week open psycho-educational group is intended to teach participants various coping strategies in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, assertiveness, and interpersonal effectiveness to assist them in emotional and behavioural management. Participants will learn to read their body like it's an emotional barometer, identify the moment's urges, triggers and effective ways to manage them, and ultimately identify and deconstruct triggers so they can better know themselves.
