I believe we are at our best when we have meaningful relationships, enjoyable pursuits, and peace of mind. While I think the people we surround ourselves with can have a significant influence over our well-being, I do not believe all of our emotional needs can be met by any one person. I also think that sometimes our struggles can feel too heavy to share with friends, or too personal to open up about at all.
When I work with people in a therapeutic relationship, I want to offer a warm and non-judgmental space. Ideally my clients will see me as someone they can trust to meet them with whatever is on their mind, and leave the encounter feeling seen, heard, and hopeful.
I often say "it feels hard because it is". And while acknowledging there is something in your life you would like some help with can feel vulnerable, there is also tremendous relief in just saying some things aloud. If you're wondering whether I could be helpful for your particular situation, please reach out for a free 15 minute consultation.
