At Compassionate Connections we offer therapeutic counselling for both adults and children/families in addressing complex mental health needs. Our approach is client-centred, compassionate and non-judgmental. As your therapists our role is to provide hope, support and guidance during the most difficult of times. Our passion is working with families towards a path of reconnection and healing--through communication, skill building and fostering connections. More specifically, we specialize in attachment and emotion focused parenting approaches that help families address and support their child's behavioural and emotional needs.
We have worked with individuals of all ages with a wide array of concerns including anxiety, addiction, depression, OCD, trauma/PTSD, parent-child conflict, marital discord, and complex grief and loss. Our approaches draw mostly on training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Sexology.
Our hope is to support individuals and families on their journey towards increased health and wellness. We believe in the healing power of individuals and families. We also believe that all people have the ability to learn and overcome barriers, in order to help support themselves and their loved ones during times of extreme difficulty.
