If you need help with connection, communication, emotional regulation, overcoming trauma and living a better life let's talk. With over 25 years experience as clinical counsellor I focus on what works to help you understand yourself and train the skills to improve your life. I'm warm, present, active and empathetic. In a short time with me couples and individuals experience breakthroughs. I provide direct guidance toward greater clarity, healthy boundaries, focus and wisdom by addressing life skills you haven't mastered. You don't have to do this alone anymore.

After earning an M.A. I studied progressive short-term therapy in New York City where I began my career over 25 years ago. I have worked in medical facilities, in anti-racist, feminist and men's mental health, and in private practice in the U.S. and Canada. I use a hybrid model of counseling with coaching and make every session useful for my clients.

Supervision Group for Clinical Skill Mastery

I help counsellors refine their skills and clarify our task. I focus on what works and help clinicians learn from their mistakes. I studied group therapy at a progressive therapy insititute in Manhattan in the early 1990s, began supervising in 2007, and worked in mental health orgs, medical contexts and privately. Joining our online supervision group will give you effective help to improve your skills, keep your supervision costs down, and counts for BCACC QACC hours. We have a couple of real nice groups and a nice community. Come try! $80 per session.

Men have particular learned difficulties with expressing emotion, asking for help, and with dealing with shame. Some of the most fulfilling work I do is helping men become more gentle; gentle with themselves, and with the others around them. When men learn how much easier life can be when they're in touch with themselves, and able to feel warmly, comfortably connected to their significant partners they often think 'now why didn't I learn this earlier'?
