For more than 30 years I have counselled people having problems with depression, anxiety and life adjustment, and as well, those wanting to grow personally. I identify with the Humanistic/Positive Psychology approach and am primarily a Rogerian by practice - utilising active listening and communicating back of understanding. Not only is this very affirming and helps people find relief from their problems and concerns, but they come to more fully understand their assumptive world, achieve greater self-understanding and acceptance and a desire to develop constructive and fruitful changes in their outlook and behaviour.
I also coach people in learning Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused methods, relaxation, grounding, being ‘present’, mono tasking; and communication, assertiveness and anger management skills. And developing gratitude. Life coaching can be part of sessions. I am currently only doing phone and on-line sessions, and sorry, have a waitlist.
In session, blocks to vision and inspiration reduce, clients have a deeper, more sincere and authentic experience of their life and others, become happier, and settle more deeply into themselves - their essence. They move toward a more open heart, clearer mind, greater equanimity, work toward regaining our origional sanity and begin to find their way.
