Our experience includes working with unhealthy relationship dynamics, attachment trauma, codependency, emotional and psychological abuse recovery, depression, anxiety.
In order to feel loved many of us have developed patterns of abandoning our own needs in favor of pleasing others so we can feel safe in our relationships. These ways of relating and functioning may keep us comfortable but can hold us back from living a meaningful life. Our aim is to help you discover your true self, your values, needs, strengths, and build self-awareness so you can begin to set boundaries and live a life that feels authentic. We provide a warm, nurturing and non-judgmental space where you can explore the patterns that keep you stuck while building new habits that align with your future self.

Confused, drained or ALONE in your relationship? Are you putting the needs of others before your own? Are you changing yourself (like a chameleon) in order to feel appreciated? If the other person becomes your main focus and you modify your behaviors and ignore your needs to keep the relationship going at any cost, you have codependency. Codependents are MAGNETS for entitled, narcissistic, grandiose personalities. The ensuing relationship can stumble along for a LONG time, requiring huge amounts of effort and energy to keep up until finally it falls apart. When it does, you feel betrayed and abandoned (codependent's biggest fear).

As author of The Great Work: Self-Knowledge and Healing Through the Wheel of the Year which presents the human experience of reclaiming the authentic self from the depths of Shadow and shame, I specialize in codependency, identifying needs, developing emotional fluency, self-empowerment and self-actualization.
Within each of us lies the vision and hope for the life we want to live. Yet, we can feel overwhelmed by inner or outer challenges, fears, negative beliefs, low self-esteem, anxiety or depression. In many years of practice, I have seen the resilience of the human spirit. As a Spiritual Psychotherapist, I work with traditional approaches, as well as those rooted in Transpersonal Psychology, Archetypal Psychology and Shamanism which recognize the power and strength inherent within to facilitate change. My aim is to act as guide as clients address past pain and present circumstances that limit the ability to live a life in full bloom.

I specialized in working with adults who are struggling with boundaries, codependency, self-esteem issues and multicultural concerns.
Before becoming a therapist, I delved into working for non-profit organizations as a life skills coach. Later on, I decided to specialize in Love, Sex & Relationship learning somatic and mindfulness tools that would later on helped me in my practice. I understand the struggles you may face because I went on the journey of learning more because of my own struggles around my relationship and my empowerment. I am committed to helping you develop the awareness and skills so that you can achieve the life and relationships that you want. I utilized the tools that I am about to teach in my day-to-day life and I am now here to share it you.

Narcissistic abuse can lead to a variety of issues including diminished self-worth, codependency, PTSD, depression and anxiety.
If you experienced narcissistic abuse in your family, relationship or any other setting I understand how challenging it might be to heal the wounds, find your voice and self-esteem back. I believe that there's always a way to move forward and start to heal. What matters is that instead of giving up, you are seeking help and that means you are getting ready to use external and internal resources to move past what's causing you distress. I believe in providing a non-judgmental atmosphere where you feel safe to be yourself.

I am dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing symptoms from trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, codependency, and low self-worth/self-esteem. I explore how the previous experiences we have encountered and the relationships we have had impact the way we view ourselves and interact with the world around us. I like to use a variety of tools to aid in symptom management while also working with the root to facilitate healing. My practice is heavily trauma-informed and attachment-focused. I use CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, IFS, and mindfulness in my practice.

It can be a moving experience, to be truly heard and understood. These days, with all of life's distractions, sitting with someone for an hour, who is actively listening and interested in what you have to say can take getting used to! With therapy, we begin with where you are today. I meet you where you are at and we work together on what you need to feel better in your inner and outer world. I support folks who are struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, anger, codependency, relationship issues, sexuality, trauma, or spirituality. I am here to offer acceptance, curiosity, and a new perspective on what feels stuck in your life.

What therapy types help with codependency problems?

Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?

Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?

Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?

One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
