I am a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in working with adolescents and adults who have coped with eating disorders, disordered eating, low self-esteem, anxiety and/or depression and family/couple relationship conflict. I completed my Internship at Southlake Regional Health Centre in the Eating Disorder Program while completing my Master’s degree of Social Work.
I worked as a Social Worker at Halton Healthcare in the Outpatient Eating Disorder Program where I supported and empowered adolescents and their parents to develop the skills and coping strategies to combat the eating disorder utilizing a Family-Based approach (Maudsley Family Therapy).
My approach is client-centred. I use cognitive behavioural strategies to challenge negative thinking, coupled with DBT strategies to help resolve stressful situations and to eradicate symptoms.
