**I AM CURRENTLY UNABLE TO ACCEPT NEW CLIENTS**I have been providing counselling and therapy for 30 years, as well as supervision and consultation to therapists and Masters degree students. My areas of specialty include addictions, trauma, and sexual abuse, and I have extensive experience in other areas of psychotherapy including depression, anxiety, relationships, life transitions, grief and loss, family of origin issues, dissociation, separation, and infertility. I have a passion for helping people develop new ways of understanding and working through their challenges. I am a registered clinical social worker and psychotherapist.
I use a wide range of therapeutic models and always create the integrative approach that is best suited to each client. These models include cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, rational-emotive, systemic, emotionally focused, somatic, and attachment. I also use a variety of techniques in therapy including Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and Sandtray/Worldplay.
I am approachable and friendly, and many of my clients tell me I am easy to talk to. I strive to create a supportive and respectful environment, and I always confirm that you feel we are a good fit within our first few sessions.
