I work with children, teens, adults, and couples. When working with children, I meet with the parent(s)/guardian(s) first, after which you decide if I would be a good fit for your child. I am competent in: anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder; physical, emotional, and sexual abuse; PTSD; grief (specializing in suicide, homicide, and accidental deaths); pregnancy loss; death of a pet; self harm; suicide ideation; anger; addictions; attachment and codependency issues; infertility, adoption, and fostering issues; parenting; separation and divorce; chronic illness and pain; cancer diagnosis; self esteem and body dysmorphia.
I offer a non judgmental environment where people can be truly themselves. I have much lived experience which enables me to be genuinely compassionate and empathic. I am trained in EMDR as well as Somatic Experiencing therapies. These two modalities have proven to be very effective when working with grief and/or trauma.
Calling a complete stranger for support is hard to do, I get that. That is why my approach is gentle and client centered - meaning you share with me what areas of your life you wish to address and together we come up with a plan. Please reach out with any questions you have about me and/or the counselling process. Looking forward to hearing from you...
