Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention

Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) is an evidence-based complement to standard of-care, 12-step-based or related aftercare programs for addictions. It is an eight-week program that combines the tools of Relapse Prevention, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). It also focuses on skills for maintaining a commitment to abstinence or harm-reduction goals regarding alcohol or other substances. Mindfulness assists individuals to recognize and tolerate craving and urges, while CBT provides a means to identify situations and thoughts that trigger substance use. A summary of participation and attendance can be provided to third parties.

A Women's Worth

This is an ongoing group whose primary focus is to explore how we can bring ourselves more fully into relationships. We operate on the premise that awareness of self and others is fundamental to the development of healthy interpersonal interactions. We can enhance our understanding of what drives us and what holds us back in relationships. We can let go of unhealthy patterns in thoughts and relationships which can keep us from engaging in a healthy, connected way. We can safely explore ways to communicate openly and honestly; learning to manage interpersonal boundaries and to understand our own personal power.
