I have a very rational and direct approach to counselling; I will say it how I see it, but with a sense of humor if appropriate. My knowledge and experience is well suited for clients that are dealing either with trauma (especially sexual violence or childhood abuse), or would like to have more effective thoughts and behaviours. Healing is not easy, but by looking at what can change, and what could be accepted, clients often find a new balance that helps their thoughts and feelings become more adaptive, helpful, and much less painful. I am currently taking clients in person or online.
Also, I have experience working with clients on a variety of issues, including self-concept, anger, anxiety, depression, borderline tendencies, compulsive behaviours, boundaries, issues with family, healthy sexuality and specific phobias. I am LGBTQ and poly friendly.
