I am a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and qualified B-level assessor specializing in “complex cases” – clients who present with depression or anxiety symptoms plus suicidal thoughts, chronic illness/disability, interpersonal and relationship issues, cultural complexities, involuntary immigration, sexuality, gender identity, complex grief and loss, and difficult emotions. My way of working focuses on building client resilience, expanding resources, and empowering the client to shift away from symptoms that are disruptive or upsetting.
My theoretical ground comes from neurobiology and existential philosophy. In working with clients or supervisees, I also draw from cognitive, behavioural, experiential, relational and narrative techniques to help understand a client’s process of navigating change.
As a Canadian-born mixed-race queer person of Caribbean descent, I am attuned to the ways race, class, diaspora, sexuality, and gender influence our experiences. My passion lies in facilitating healing and growth after trauma. I am here to support clinicians and their clients to chart unique and individual paths of healing.
