Many of my clients come in struggling to genuinely like themselves. They're caught in a cycle of self-criticism and self-doubt, feeling like nothing they ever do is enough. They're terrified that if they start to speak up or set a boundary, the people they love will walk away, so they don't. Their fears settle into the body, showing up as a mental spiral, a tight chest, a racing heart, until eventually they just shut down. Sometimes they can even see their patterns, but they still feel really stuck. That's where this work comes in.
I use a trauma-informed, somatic, parts work approach, which means we don't just talk about what's happening in your life, we also explore what shaped you, and listen to what your body has to say. Somatic parts work therapy slows things down to notice what's beneath the narrative, so we can shift what's keeping you stuck and create long-lasting changes.
Working on your relationship with yourself can feel really big and overwhelming. You're not alone in that feeling. But feeling stuck doesn't mean staying stuck, and you don't have to figure it out on your own. I'd love to support you in finding your way through.
