Welcome! I am Chisomo. Life can be challenging at times, and it's not uncommon to feel disconnected from ourselves, our communities, and our surroundings. Issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, and trauma can leave us feeling hopeless and stuck. My goal is to help you discover new empowering narratives that enable you to take control and lead a more authentic life. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health and disability field.
As a Black therapist, I understand the importance of finding a therapeutic space that recognizes and celebrates your intersectional identities, ways of knowing and being. I provide a non-judgmental and affirming approach to therapy. My approach towards our work is relational and based on curiosity and compassion.
I strive to create an inclusive space where individuals feel valued, understood, and empowered. My work is based on anti-oppressive, disability justice, and Afrocentric frameworks. If you are interested in working together, I welcome you to book a free consultation today!
