I strive to work collaboratively with each client toward positive growth and personal strength. I am a firm believer in a strong alliance and positivity and work to provide a safe and secure space. My goal as a therapist is to empower my clients to find effective strategies in dealing with their struggles and to encourage them to reconnect with the values and goals most important to them.
Much of my practice comes from a client focused approach, and involves supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, various forms of trauma and abuse, substance abuse, self-esteem issues, Type 1 Diabetes and other chronic illness. I draw upon various approaches, such as CBT, Solution Focused therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.
