I'm a genderqueer trans counsellor who works with adults, youth, and families to gently explore difficulties while affirming the ways people are already working towards their own healing. Right now we are dealing with a lot: COVID-19, the ongoing and escalating police violence against Black and Indigenous peoples, as well as the ongoing racism against Asian and South Asian communities and Hispanic and Latin communities. In these times we need to find ways to support each other through the isolation, uncertainty and hardships. I offer several sliding scale options to make counselling as accessible as possible.
I provide LGBTQIA2+ affirming therapy so people don’t feel like they have to struggle to be respected and understood. I work to make sure that my forms, office spaces and counselling practices respect and honour all identities, orientations, families and relationships. I also specialize in working with trauma and anxiety in youth 12 to 24.
My goal is to have every client leave a session feeling like the time was well spent and their counsellor thinks well of them. I want to safely ease the fears people have about sharing certain things with their counsellor, because I’ve felt that fear too. I also know how powerful counselling can be.
