Within over 17 years of expertise in the field of children's mental health, I provide a safe space for children to identify and talk about their feelings, and to learn strategies to regulate and cope with day to day stress. Over the years I have heard - what do children have to stress about and the simple answer is lots! I help families improve communication, work through conflict and grow stronger as a unit. As a mother myself, I understand parenting can be one of the most difficult but rewarding jobs there is - and not everyone has a village to help. Beyond child and family therapy, I also work with teens and adults.
My specialty is children (age 6+), youth, families and parents. I am also a certified trauma and resiliency specialist with advanced evidence based training in a variety of modalities. I believe in the value of early intervention, the importance of feeling safe and comfortable in a counselling setting and the benefit of humour/laughter in therapy.
