My goal is to help my clients feel more like themselves again, and to help lessen the influence of the problems that bring them to therapy. I have a particular interest in the areas of trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse, disordered eating and body image concerns, domestic violence, women's health, chronic pain and chronic health issues (ie. migraines, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue), depression, anxiety, coping with stress, grief and loss, and adoption. I provide goal directed treatment, and I strive to be collaborative and resilience focused with clients. My current clinical focus is with adults and older teens (16+). I am LGBTQ friendly.
I have extensive training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) which is a highly effective trauma informed approach developed by Peter Levine. SE is a mind-body oriented approach to healing from the effects of trauma and other stress disorders.
