With over 30 years of service in the Canadian Forces and eight years working in a women’s trauma counselling program, I bring insights about trauma and the complex challenges life can present.
Unresolved trauma can show up in ways that don’t always make sense at first. Maybe you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. You’re not alone, and what you’re feeling makes sense in light of what you’ve been through. My job is to help you understand why you may be feeling the way you do—and to equip you with practical strategies for healing and moving forward.
All of our work will be grounded in trauma-informed practice tailored to your unique needs, and drawing from solution focused and client centred approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and other practical trauma-sensitive interventions.
I see myself as the GPS and you as the driver. I may have some suggestions for which roads to travel but ultimately the destination is your choice.
