I specialize in working with folks with a history of trauma. Because many disorders often have unrecognized trauma at their core, I work with people struggling with issues such as depression, social and generalized anxiety, PTSD, grief and chronic health conditions. I view these disorders through a trauma lens and use various trauma treatments to help you heal. I also adopt an anti-oppresive lens to my work, making sure that you feel safe to be your authentic self in my office.
I use a number of different approaches and modalities to help you heal. My go-to modalities are EMDR (a protocol specifically used to heal trauma/PTSD) as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy, somatic work and parts work. Through the use of these modalities, true, deep change and healing is possible.
