Hello, my name is Catherine (she/her), I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate). I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan, but have a particular fondness for working with children, teens and young adults. I welcome anyone needing a caring, safe, and supportive space to share their stories and better understand themselves and how to achieve their goals. Life can be challenging and at times exceeds our ability to cope. Having a safe, supportive space to work through challenging behaviours, anxiety, trauma and learn new skills can make all the difference.
Much of my therapeutic work is grounded in the lens of attachment theory an, I believe that helping clients to feel safe and connected is the foundation for healing. Because each person is unique I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities that fit the individual's needs and help them develop skills, improve emotion regulation, and build self-compassion.
Reaching out for help and opening up takes a lot of courage. At the end of the day my goal is to help you have a better understanding of all the amazing resources you possess and for you to leave my office feeling safe, seen, cared for and ready to further grow in your journey.
