(Note: Currently offering telephone or video sessions only). I have a passion for getting to know people deeply and guiding them toward a more satisfying, accepting and compassionate relationship with themselves and others. I believe that "knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom" and it is by being true to yourself that you will unlock the most satisfying life experiences and relationships. I welcome you to bring any issue to the table, but have found a special interest in assisting clients with relationship issues, including separation/divorce, dating, infidelity, relationship dissatisfaction, and family of origin issues.
I am also interested in the experiences of clients who struggle with identity or "fitting in" to the dominant culture and I support movements that challenge these structures. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and is informed by humanistic principles and attachment theory.
The feedback I have received consistently from clients over the years is that I'm a "real", approachable and accepting therapist. I am a laid-back person and I enjoy using humour with my clients when appropriate. If you want a counselling session that feels like a chat with a good friend who wants you to be your best self, look no further :)
