I am an ADHD identified therapist working with youth (12+) and adults. I am Indigenous, Mi'kmaq, Potlotek First Nation and settler Canadian background. I have dedicated much of my career to working with Indigenous peoples and First Nations communities. I welcome clients seeking a therapist with an understanding of Indigenous culture, intergenerational trauma, and cultural identity/disconnection. I have experience working within private practice and community setting. My experience includes facilitating group-based therapy, and working with individuals providing one-on-one therapy for complex mental health and trauma conditions.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and use a wide range of modalities. I work from a Wholistic approach integrating Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and psychology. I enjoy helping others while using strength-based approaches and various treatment therapies to best meet the needs and goals of my clients.
I believe clients are experts in their own lives that may need some guidance in accessing their inner knowledge. My hope is to help you engage and enhance your capacity for introspection, reflection, and self-awareness to better understand and navigate your past, present, and future allowing you to feel empowered and hopeful.
